Speeding Car Kills Four As It Rams Into A Café At Crawford Market
The speeding car ran over four people and injured another four, before ramming into the Janata Café wall
A speeding car rammed into the Janata Cafe restaurant in south Mumbai’s Crawford market, killing four people on the spot and injuring another four individuals.
The accident occurred at around 10 pm yesterday, when the driver lost control of the wheel. The deceased include three women. The injured, who are reportedly in a serious condition, were taken to the Sir Jamshedjee Jeejeebhoy Hospital (JJ Hospital). The driver is also said to be in a critical state.
Eyewitnesses said that there were around eight people standing outside the buzzing café, where the delivery parcels were being readied. The impact of the accident was so intense that the car had to be physically pulled out from the cafe by the locals.
The police arrived at the location for investigations. Though the driver remains unidentified, the car is believed to be from south Bombay and sources reveal that the owner had often been spotted speeding the car above the permissible limits.
