Sourav Ganguly’s Condition Is ‘stable’, Informs Elder Brother Snehasish Ganguly

Snehasish Ganguly, the elder brother of the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has given a piece of positive news regarding the health of the former Indian skipper. As reported by a leading daily, Sourav Ganguly had to undergo angioplasty after suffering from a mild heart attack. On Sunday, January 3, the brother of the icon revealed that his condition has now ‘stabilised’. Watch Snehasish Ganguly’s statement in the video below:
As per reports, the former cricketer tested negative for Coronavirus and had also undergone a routine electrocardiogram test this morning. He has been admitted at Woodlands Hospital, and according to the medical bulletin of the private hospital, “He had an uneventful last night and presently Afebrile (not feverish) … He is sleeping now. He will be requiring another angioplasty because of the triple vessel disease. But, that depends on how his condition is. He is, however, out of danger now.”
Along with the medical bulletin, his elder brother while interacting with media also confirmed that the cricketer is stable now. Snehasish said, “He’s stable. Doctors will decide on further treatment”. During the interaction, the elder brother refrained from commenting about the medical treatment of his brother but he assured that his condition has turned better now.
The medical team of Sourav Ganguly have kept ‘constant vigil’ on his health situation and are doing everything to stabilise him. The 48-year-old cricket icon was admitted on Saturday at 1 pm on complaint of “chest discomfort, heaviness of head, vomiting and a spell of dizziness” while performing physical exercise in the home gymnasium at around 11 am.
Post analysing his medical condition and angioplasty was conducted on him. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited Woodlands Hospital on Saturday evening to enquire about Ganguly’s health. After her visit, she said, “He (Ganguly) is fine now, he even spoke to me. I thank the doctors and hospital authorities that they have taken the right decision of conducting an angioplasty.”
