Sourav Ganguly Says ‘I Am Absolutely Fine’ After Being Discharged From Hospital
Former Indian Cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly was discharged from Woodlands hospital on Thursday, January 7, 2021.
Former Indian Cricket Team captain and current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has been discharged from the hospital. The former skipper walked out of the hospital and interacted with the media. He was discharged from the Woodlands hospital today on Thursday, January 7, 2021. Sourav Ganguly spent five days in the hospital after being admitted. For all the people who are wondering about what Sourav Ganguly said after coming out of the hospital, here is a look at what he had to say about his health.
As Sourav Ganguly walked out of the Woodland Hospital in Kolkata, he addressed the reporters outside the hospital. He showed his gratitude towards the doctors and medical staff who attended him. He said, “I thank the doctors at the hospital for the treatment. I am absolutely fine. Hopefully, I will be ready to fly soon,”. According to reports, he was admitted after he faced chest discomfort and suffered a mild heart attack. Sourav Ganguly then had to undergo angioplasty. Hospital’s CEO Dr Rupali Basu told reporters on Wednesday that earlier, he was scheduled to be discharged yesterday on January 6, 2021, but he himself insisted on staying back for another day.

The former Indian captain underwent angioplasty on January 2, the same day when he was admitted to the hospital. He was gymming at his house when he felt chest pain. He was then immediately rushed to the hospital. Dr Rupali Basu also mentioned that he will be regularly monitored after being discharged. The treating doctors will be keeping a tab on Sourav Ganguly’s health and appropriate measures will also be taken from time to time, added the reports.
After he was discharged from the hospital, Sourav Ganguly took to his official Instagram handle and shared his recovery updates. He also shared a post and showed his appreciation for ex-Bengal teammate Joydeep Mukherjee. Joydeep is currently the Director of Cricket Operations for Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB). According to the Instagram post by Sourav Ganguly, it seems like he assisted him during his five days in the hospital.
