Sourav Ganguly Discharged From The Hospital, Doctors Optimistic About His Full Recovery
Sourav Ganguly being hospitalised for the second time had left the cricketing world in worry. However, the recent health updates have come out as good news for the fans.
Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly was discharged from the hospital yesterday. After undergoing two heart surgeries in a month, Ganguly is on the verge of full recovery, doctors claimed. After severe chest pains on Wednesday, the former cricketer was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata.
Earlier in January, following a heart attack while exercising, Ganguly was hospitalized during which he underwent an angioplasty. And now during his second surgery, two more stents were inserted, the doctors stated. The news of Ganguly being hospitalized had left the cricketing world in deep sorrow, however, the recent health updates have come out as good news for the fans.
Doctors stated that the 48-year-old cricketer made an “uneventful recovery” and he has a strong heart. Talking about his daily schedules, the doctors are quite optimistic as they believe that he can get back to his normal schedule within 2-3 days. Also, there are no restrictions on physical activities. After getting discharged, Ganguly expressed his gratitude towards the doctors who treated him.
For those unaware, earlier on January 02, Ganguly was admitted to a hospital where he spent five days under doctor’s observation before being discharged on January 07.
