Sonu Sood Roped In For Kisaan, Film To Be Produced By Dream Girl Director Raaj Shaandilyaa
Bollywood actor Sonu Sood will be next seen in a Bollywood film titled Kisaan. The movie will be directed by Shool fame E Niwas and produced by Dream Girl’s director Raaj Shaandilyaa.
Apart from various trends such as Dalgona coffee, hand emoji, many other challenges grabbed the top spots on social media during the nationwide-lockdown in India. While all these trends kept everyone entertained during the self-isolation, one celebrity went beyond the limits to extend his helping hand to the humankind. From arranging buses for the migrant and daily-wage workers to giving financial support to thousands of people, in the lockdown, this Bollywood actor redefined the concept of humanity. And, we think you know whom we are talking about. Right! It’s Sonu Sood. This time, the actor has not grabbed headlines for his kindness but for his upcoming project. The actor has been roped in for a film, Kisaan.
Interestingly, it is still unclear if the celluloid is based on the ongoing farmer protests. On the other hand, the upcoming film will be bankrolled by Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl director Raaj Shaandilyaa. Meanwhile, filmmaker E Niwas will direct the film. For the unversed, E Niwas is known for 1999 release Shool. However, the makers haven’t revealed many details of the project as of now.
Talking about the professional front, the 47-year-old actor is known for his performance in various films, such as Simmba, Dabangg and Jodhaa Akbar, among many others. Interestingly, Sonu’s repertoire is flooded with the projects in which he has portrayed negative characters. But, it seems like that the year 2020 has changed the image of Sonu upside down as he is getting the “hero” roles now. In a recent interaction, Sood revealed that during the shooting of his upcoming Telugu movie “Acharya”, South superstar Chiranjeevi expressed reservations about hitting him for a scene, given his newfound image of a hero.
He said, “We were doing an action sequence and Chiranjeevi sir said, ‘You being in the film is a big problem for us because I can’t hit you in the action scene’. He said if he does that people will curse him. There was another sequence where he was placing his feet on me but that too was reshot”.
