Sonia Gandhi Targets Modi Government, Says Democracy Is At Its Worst Phase
While chairing a party meeting on Sunday, the Congress party president spoke about the plight of the migrants, the pandemic mismanagement, farm laws and Dalit atrocities under the BJP governance
Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi said that the Indian democracy is going through its worst phase, while chairing a meeting with her party workers on Sunday. She questioned the governance of the Narendra Modi led central government.
Speaking about the Coronavirus issue, the plight of Dalits in the country, the recently approved controversial farm laws and the falling economy, Gandhi said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has destroyed the vision of the Congress government.
Elaborating on the farm bills that were recently approved and passed by President Ram Nath Kovind amidst severe outrage from the agricultural community, she said that this conspiracy should be ended by her party. She further stated that the livelihood of crores of farmers, labourers, shopkeepers and others have been snatched away.
The politician also spoke about the Migrant workers’ exodus that took place during the lockdown and blamed the BJP government for its lack of planning .
She urged all her party members to work together against the current administration and ensure a secure environment for all sections of society.
