The micro-blogging and social-networking platform, Twitter is now integrating newer layouts that have e-commerce based tools incorporated within them. With one user of the platform from Qatar noticing this new change in the android application of Twitter, it is evident that more and more people will soon observe this change even on their devices as well. The platform seems to be currently testing this new feature of e-commerce in its tweets’ layouts which the Qatar user spotted on his device.
According to certain sources, the UK-based social media consultant, Matt Navara, first observed this new format and pointed it out. He then proceeded to share certain screenshots consisting of this new and updated e-commerce tweet layout which were credited to Yasser Masood and showcased the upgraded shopping card, instead of the older and simpler existing “link” sharing card. The new shopping card is bigger and hence takes up more screen space on one’s feed now, and is a large blue-coloured button named ‘Shop’. This new card also features the price that the linked site lists it for. And according to the platform, Twitter, this is one of the first few of the many further commerce-based experiments they are running to improve and ensure a smoother and better e-commerce experience for its users.
