A video tweeted by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav claims to show a shocking instance of negligence on the part of the staff at Bihar’s Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH). The video was shot by a young man whose father is apparently admitted in the hospital. It shows that two dead bodies have been lying for  two days in the same ward as the one in which his father is being treated.

The graphic video has created an uproar in the state of Bihar and has raised several questions over the handling of the COVID-19 crisis by the state government. The staff at NMCH have come under heavy scrutiny after the release of the video. Tejashwi Yadav’s tweet has also alleged that all the nurses and ventilators from the hospital have been sent to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s house, where he claims 60 persons have been found positive for the coronavirus.
