Aashiqui star Rahul Roy rushed to the hospital after he suffered a progressive brain stroke. The actor’s right side of the brain was affected due to this. Read to know the details.

Indian actor Rahul Roy was admitted to the hospital after he suffered a brain stroke. Rahul, popularly known as the Aashiqui star , was shooting in Kargil when the incident took place. He made his Bollywood debut at the age of 22 and rose to prominence ever since then. Read ahead to know the details.

According to a news portal, Rahul is safe and is recovering well. However, he was admitted after he suffered a brain stroke. The actor’s right side of the brain was affected due to it. Just before the tragic incident could occur, Roy was shooting in Kargil for LAC- Live the Battle. He was then rushed to the intensive care unit of Nanavati Hospital because of a progressive brain stroke.

Rahul kick-started his career at a very young age. He made his Bollywood debut with the film Aashiqui at the age of 22. The audience was so impressed by his performance that he gained instant fame. Mahesh Bhatt’s Aashiqui became a blockbuster hit in the year 1990. Along with Roy, the film also witnessed the debut of Anu Agarwal. This romantic drama is based on the life of Rahul and Anu, the central characters of the film, and the hardships they face in their love life.

Rahul also featured in films like Pyaar Ka Saaya, Baarish and Junoon for which he was nominated as Best Actor for Filmfare Awards. He also starred in Ghazab Tamasha, Dilwale Kabhi Na Hare, Jaanam, Sapne Sajan Ke, Pehla Nasha, Gumrah and Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee. Other films that featured Roy were 2B or Not To B, Crime Partner, Elaan, Night & Fog, A Thin Line, Cabaret and Agra.

Roy also made a stunning entry as a Bigg Boss Season 1 contestant and did not only win the reality TV show but also created a huge fan base for himself in every Indian household. Oher television shows that featured Roy were Kaise Kahoon and Karishma-The Miracles of Destiny. Roy also made a guest appearance on the famous comedy reality show Comedy Nights Bachao and The Kapil Sharma Show.
