Shehr-E-Zaat Review – A Tale Of Finding Self Acceptance & Love Through The Journey Of Life

The beautiful Mahira Khan, who debuted opposite the King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan features in the show Shahr E Zaat. The show is about a girl named Falak who has lived like a princess and dislikes the ugly side of society. She deems some people unworthy and some places dirty to even put her eyes upon. Falak is boosted by her mother’s way of taking a liking to only the rich and cream of the society. The mother’s role has been played by Sameena Peerzada and the veteran actress has done complete justice to it.

The story begins when Fifi aka Falak starts falling in love with a sculpture she has made, she also rejects and leads on her friendship with Hamza, played by Mohib Mirza, to a point where he can’t think about anyone else but Fifi. Fifi eventually falls in love with Salman, who is the personification of her statue! But Salman is selfish and their marriage heads for doom when infidelity, misunderstandings, and hatred prevails!

The show captures the essence of relationships. It is about self-love and the love for humanity which should not prevail only when there is beauty or materialism involved. It is about the spiritual awakening of the soul and knowing about the power within. A major incident in the show leads Falak towards spiritual bonding and soul-stirring moments. The show is based upon a novel by Umera and has been directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat.
