Sharad Pawar Hopes Sushant Singh Rajput Case Doesn’t Go Unresolved
Pawar referred to Narendra Dabholkar’s murder case that is being investigated by the CBI since 2014.
Senior Maharashtra politician Sharad Pawar of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has said that he hopes the CBI investigation into the Sushant Singh Rajput case doesn’t go “unresolved.” His comment invoked the example of the Narendra Dabholkar murder case that is being investigated by the central investigative body since 2014 without any success. The case of the Bollywood actor’s alleged suicide was transferred to the CBI recently by the Supreme Court after the Bihar Police was engaged in a tussle with the Mumbai Police over its investigation.
Pawar wrote on Twitter, “I am sure the Maharashtra Govt will respect the judgement of the Supreme Court to handover Sushant Singh Rajput’s case to the CBI and fully cooperate in the investigation process.” In another tweet, he said, “I hope the investigation will not be carried on, as was done with Dr Narendra Dabholkar’s murder case also under investigation by the #CBI which commenced in 2014 and remains unresolved.” Pawar’s NCP is part of Maharashtra’s ruling Shiv Sena-led coalition.
