Shahid Kapoor was extremely excited to see Jersey in theatres. The actor delivered a standout performance in Kabir Singh, and this Nani film is no exception. However, it was postponed due to an increase in Covid-19 cases. Soon after, rumors circulated that the makers of ‘Jersey’ were planning a digital release for the film, while another report claimed that Shahid had taken a pay cut from his fee of Rs 31 crore in order for the film not to be released digitally.

Shahid Kapoor seems to have helped his producers in this regard. The film is very close to the actor’s heart, and he went above and beyond, even if it meant reducing his fee significantly. According to reports, Shahid has decided to cut royalties if necessary in order to get Jersey into theatres.

Shahid Kapoor appears to be adamant that Jersey be released in theatres. He is ecstatic about the product. The actor is confident that the audience will enjoy the film. Mrunal Thakur plays the lead in the sports drama.

After the rising Covid cases, the team of Jersey had gotten a prior intimation that Delhi cinema halls might be closed soon, As a result, they held multiple meetings to discuss the film’s future course of action, as their entire marketing campaign had already begun and there wasn’t much left to promote.
