The Central Crime Branch (CCB) officers are conducting a raid at actress Sanjjanaa Galrani’s residence in Indiranagar in connection with the Sandalwood drug racket case. Reportedly, eight police officers, including a woman inspector, have raided Galrani’s house in east Bengaluru. The CCB obtained a search warrant from the court recently. Last week, Galrani’s friend Rahul was arrested in the case. Based on Rahul’s statements, the CCB decided to conduct a search operation at Sanjjanaa Galrani’s house. In a statement she shared last week, Galrani called Rahul her rakhi brother.

As of Tuesday (September 8), the CCB has arrested six people in connection with the case. Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi is one of them. Others include Ravi Shankar, an African peddler, Viren Khanna and Niyaz. Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Kamal Patil said that they have been following the drug case for over a month. Based on a lead, they arrested Jayanagar RTO clerk Ravi Shankar after getting substantial evidence related to the case.
