Sambit Patra And Naseer Abdullah Debate Over Bollywood Drug Connection
Is Bollywood being defamed over drugs? A heated argument was exchanged between BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra and actor Naseer Abdullah.
As actor Kangana Ranaut landed in Mumbai following the partial destruction of her office by the BMC and met the state governor, prime time anchors couldn’t resist covering this topic. Meanwhile, a leading news channel debated potential cracks within the Congress-DMK alliance. On the debate panel, actor Naseer Abdullah said, “This demolition of the property has been happening since the time of Balasaheb Thackeray. Shiv Sainiks respect women, which is why Ranaut was not attacked physically; the party just destroyed her property.” This left anchor Anjana Om Kashyap as dumbfounded as we were.
Appearing on the panel, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said, “Kangana Ranaut’s office was demolished and it’s the duty of any media to stand with the lone lady.” He also spoke about how another news channel was hounded for “standing with the truth.” Patra noted, “Saamna (Shiv Sena mouthpiece) said Ukhaad Denge! (we will destroy). We will see what really happens.” Attacking Sena spokesperson Abdullah, Patra also added, “You are a Dawood Ibrahim supporter. I demand an apology from you on your comments regarding Kangana.”
