While it ticks all the boxes of a reality show, what makes the show even more unique is the fact that the judges do not resort to over-exaggeration while commenting, especially music director Koti, who never fails in giving the contestants honest feedback, no matter how great or bad the performance is.
During Ananya’s performance of the song Kalalayi Poyenu, she noticeably messed up a note in the starting. She later revealed that the reason for this was her tension and sore throat but Koti was not buying it. He doesn’t believe in sugarcoating his feedback, which is very rare to find. A glimpse of this was seen in the latest episode, where he told Ananya that her voice going sore was no excuse for her performance since the competition is getting tougher. He told her that she should have been more careful. She accepted it with a smile wholeheartedly, just like she accepts her compliments.

While this might sound a little too straightforward, we appreciate Koti for his honesty, because this actually helps the singers improve themselves. Needless to say that he also appreciates the contestants equally when they do well. Take, for example, the time he told Ananya that he was flabbergasted by her performance when she sang Mayya Mayya.
