The Sushant Singh Rajput death case brought in a wave of chaos for the showbiz world. Amid the ongoing investigation, many other cases including the drug probe surfaced. Many Bollywood celebrities underwent long trials. Similarly, actor Rhea Chakraborty and her family were hounded and wrongly portrayed by the media. However, lately the actor is getting more support from her industry colleagues and many of her beloved fans. And going by the same, filmmaker Rumi Jaffery has decided to revive Sushant Singh Rajput and Rhea Chakraborty’s long-planned project.
Rhea will be making a comeback with Jaffery’s Chehre and recent reports state that the director is keen on signing Rhea for another project. The filmmaker also opened up about reviving the Rhea-Sushant starrer romantic film with another actor as a male lead. He said, “I have throughout maintained she’s an innocent victim. She and her family didn’t deserve this. Her father has served the country for years. I worked with her before all this in Chehre. I was going to shoot a love story in London with Sushant and Rhea for producer Vashu Bhagnani after the lockdown. But God had other plans.”
He further added, “But I will work with her for sure. She deserves another chance. She is talented and beautiful and she’s gone through a lot.”
Due to the investigations and numerous trials, Rhea faced a lot of backlash from the fans as well as the film industry. Also, a major impact of the same was on her comeback project Chehre as the makers decided to crop her out from the first poster of the film.
