They registered a big 8 wicket win against the Steve Smith’s team to stay afloat in the playoffs race. Manish Pandey’s outstanding knock played a major role in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s win. Reason 1: Failure of RR batsmen barring Sanju Samson

In yesterday’s match, no Rajsthan Royals batsman other than Sanju Samson could make an impact. Sanju Samson got off to a good start and made 36 runs in 26 balls. His knock consisted of 3 fours and one maximum. The early dismissals of Robin Uthappa, and Ben Stokes after getting a good start and failure of Jos Buttler, Steve Smith and Riyan Parag in the middle cost them the game.

Reason 2: Outstanding performance by Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey played a winning knock for his side Sunrisers Hyderabad in yesterday’s game. He was simply unstoppable and scored runs in every corner of the ground. Manish Pandey scored a massive 83 runs in just 47 balls at a strike rate of 176.6. 64 of his total runs came in boundaries with 8 huge sixes and 4 fours. His unbeaten knock made sure Sunrisers Hyderabad win the game by 8 wickets.

Reason 3: A disappointing performance by RR bowlers

Rajasthan Royals bowler Jofra Archer toppled the openers early in the innings. At one stage, SRH were reeling at 16 for 2. However, the RR bowlers could not carry the momentum ahead and lost the game by 8 wickets. Barring Jofra Archer’s fiery spell at the start of the game, none of the Rajasthan bowlers could take a single wicket. The youngster Kartik Tyagi was blasted for 42 runs in his 3.1 overs. Other Rajasthan Royals bowlers were also hammered for runs by Manish Pandey and Vijay Shankar in Hyderabad’s win.

RR and SRH upcoming fixtures

In the upcoming fixtures, Hyderabad will play KL Rahul’s Kings Xi Punjab tomorrow. Both the teams are coming after winning their last fixture. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals will look for a win on Sunday evening against Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai Indians.
