RJD Leader Tejashwi Yadav Visits Flood-Affected Areas, Meets Locals
The politician also distributed masks among older people and heard about the difficulties that the people were facing due to floods.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav met flood-affected people in Parsa area of Chapra district on Sunday (August 16). He also visited Gopalganj, which has been adversely affected due to the heavy rains. Interacting with the locals, Yadav said that people are facing problems because of nature’s wrath, while the state government is busy with regard to elections. The RJD leader also distributed masks among older people and heard about the difficulties faced by them due to floods. According to data from Bihar’s Disaster Management Department on Saturday (August 15) till 5 p.m. the death toll in the state has reached 25.
Yadav said, “People are facing difficulties due to the severe flood conditions. Several roads have been damaged.” While meeting the locals, he added, “Lalu Ji bheje hain, beta hai hum unko,” which translates as, “Lalu Ji has sent me, I’m his son.” Yadav is the current leader of opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly and the youngest opposition leader in the country.
