One of the reasons we turn to music to get us through a vulnerable time is that it has the therapeutic effect of uplifting us, giving us courage, and raising our spirits high enough to be able to ride out the storm. The special event for the 25th anniversary of the reality show in Bangla and other languages, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, was put together for the very same purpose while raising funds to provide relief to those affected by COVID-19.
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 25 – Ek Desh Ek Raag was a beautiful event with two hours of non-stop melody, talent, and positivity. Indeed, if you need that bit of boost for your mood, make sure to tune in and join the celebrations from the safety and comfort of your home. The programme included power-packed performances and appearances from many of our favourite celebrities, including the singers Shaan, Asha Bhosle, Usha Uthup, Alka Yagnik, Anupam Roy, and Shreya Ghoshal. We saw our very own Dada, Sourav Ganguly, host parts of the programme, as well as actor Jisshu Sengupta, who has regularly welcomed some of Bengal’s greatest musical talents on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2018 Bangla.
Performances also included those from the top contestants on the Bangla reality TV show, like Gourab, Tirtho, Piu, Trisha, Subham and Indranil, which will electrify your mood and evoke all sorts of nostalgia for the show. A segment by the younger champions included a heartrending rendition of the Hindi song Aashayein, which you will absolutely adore.
