Reel Life Shershaah Sidharth Malhotra Pays Tribute To Real Life Shershaah Captain Vikram Batra

Seeing Sidharth Malhotra play Capt. Vikram Batra, one thing is obvious the Student of The Year actor has really put his heart and soul into the character. It is hardly a surprise that the actor has received such high praise. The actor recently took to his twitter handle, to pay a tribute to the immortal, Param Vir Chakra Awardee Capt. Batra on his birth anniversary. As a part of the tribute, the actor shared picture collage with very heart touching lines. Quoting the actor verbatim, ‘Dear Shershaah, They say that those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever. And Captain Vikram Batra, you have touched our lives immensely with your valour, wisdom, charm & love for the nation. You will stay in our hearts forever… In your loving memory, Jai Hind.’

In those few simple words the actor completely made us understand just how much the role of Vikram Batra is close to Siddharth’s heart. The actor has often mentioned that his grandfather had also served in the Indian Army, so it was hardly a surprise when the actor confessed how much he too wanted to be a part of the Indian army. Siddharth said, “I would have chosen to be in the Indian Army just like my grandfather who served the nation and fought in the India-China war in 1962.”

However the actor’s deepest desire was realised in a way when he played Capt Vikram Batra, the actor has time and again said that being a part of the film has been a learning experience for the actor. He has also said that being from an army family had helped his movie experience too. The actor said he had a great time delving into the whole Army etiquette and discipline.

Sidharth is certainly on a high at his career front, the actor will be seen next in a film called Mission Majnu, his costar in the film is Rashmika Mandanna.
