Random COVID19 Testing To Be Conducted On Delhi-Noida Border
The Noida administration will randomly stop people to test them for Coronavirus at the Delhi-Noida border, amidst increasing cases of infections in Delhi
Amidst increasing cases of Coronavirus in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), random testing will be conducted on travellers heading from Delhi to Noida. The Gautam Budhh Nagar Administration announced on Tuesday that people will be picked for checking for COVID19 in the wake of increasing cases in the region.
The area’s district magistrate said that no inconvenience will be caused to the commuters and traffic will move as normal. Only a few individuals will be picked for testing. Noida and Greater Noida had sealed its border to Delhi until August. With the capital seeing its worst surge in November, the neighbouring district has decided to take precautionary measures.
However, what is questionable is how the authorities will pick and choose candidates as there is a massive influx of people commuting in this pocket. According to sources, target groups have been identified that will include the more exposed category of individuals like auto and cab drivers and delivery boys.
Police has been stationed at the DND flyover and the Chilla location. Doctors and health workers will administer the test and collect samples at the designated spots.
