On September 21, eight members of the parliament were suspended for their unruly and inappropriate behavior while protesting against the farm bills. According to the latest news reports, today morning, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh tried serving tea to the eight opposition members who had spent the entire night on the lawns of Parliament as part of their indefinite protest. However, the suspended MPs refused to take the tea. The eight suspended members include some prominent political personalities like Trinamool Congress leader Derek O’Brien, Aam Aadmi Party’s Sanjay Singh, Congress’s Rajeev Satav, and CPM’s KK Ragesh.

The newly passed farm bills has created a lot of ruckus in several Indian states. Farmers and opposition party leaders allege that the newly passed bills will exploit the poor farmers and worsen their situation even more.
