Rajnath Singh Asks Indian Army To Be Wary Of Chinese Troops
As part of an ongoing four-day conference with the top brass Indian Army commanders, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh asked them to be cautious of Chinese activities at the border
Amidst India and China’s border standoff, Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh cautioned Indian troops to be wary of China’s intent at the Line of Actual Control (LAC). While addressing the top brass of army commanders in New Delhi yesterday, the Union Minister advised them to keep up their guard always and be vigilant of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army’s (PLA) activities.
Singh also praised the security forces for their strategy and operational preparedness for the long haul and a possible war with the Xi Jinping ruled country.
The two nations have been locked over a border crisis since June 2020 and despite seven rounds of military level talks, no consensus has been reached on the matter yet. India has demanded for the disengagement of Chinese troops from the Indian side, while China has refused to accept its transgression to the d areas. Both the sides have mobilized at least 50,000 additional soldiers at the high altitude locations and as of now, the governments of India and China have agreed to avoid any further escalation and maintain status quo on the issue.
