Rajasthan Political Crisis: Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Takes Jibe At Congress
Shekhawat accused Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot of ousting Sachin Pilot from the Congress as Deputy Chief Minister and PCC Chief.
Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has reacted after Sachin Pilot denied reports of joining Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). On Wednesday (July 15), he said that there has been no conversation between Pilot and BJP. He said that the people of the state are counting the number of days of the Gehlot-government. “Only time will tell how many days are left there.” Shekhawat accused Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot of ousting Pilot from Congress. He said, “Pilot has just been removed from the post of Deputy CM and PCC Chief but now the objective is to fight him out of Congress.”
“CM Ashok Gehlot’s latest statement is a clear indication of that. Earlier, he had said that there are horse-trading and proof of the MLAs to topple the government. He claimed anonymously that Pilot was directly involved in the horse-trading of MLAs with the BJP,” Shekhawat added. The Union Minister also questioned the Chief Minister for staying quiet all along. He asked, “Why did Gehlot hide the evidence for so long?’
