Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot Mocks Sachin Pilot: “Speaking Good English” Isn’t Everything
The CM took various swipes at the BJP, alleging that the party conspired with Pilot to buy MLAs.
Horse-trading is prevalent in the country through crores of taxpayers’ money said Rajasthan Chief Minister (CM), Ashok Gehlot, even as he sneered at his former deputy, Sachin Pilot, saying, having “handsome” looks and speaking “good English” isn’t everything. After the rebel leader announced that he won’t be joining the BJP, the threat to the government for Rajasthan has been neutralised, albeit only for the time being.
“Speaking good English, giving good quotes, and being handsome isn’t everything. What is in your heart for the country, your ideology, policies and commitment, everything is important,” said Ashok Gehlot, while speaking to the media earlier today. The Rajasthan CM also accused Pilot of conspiring with the BJP and trying to do in Rajasthan what the party did in Madhya Pradesh. After rebelling against Gehlot, Pilot was removed from his posts of Deputy Chief Minister and Congress State President, while he also lost his spot in the cabinet yesterday.
