Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra pays an emotional tribute to her father Rajiv Gandhi on his 29th death anniversary.
On Thursday, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi paid a tribute to her father and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 29th death anniversary as she penned down her emotions about her father.
Congress General Secretary, Priyanka Gandhi wrote, “To be kind to those who are unkind to you; to know that life is fair, no matter how unfair you imagine it to be; to keep walking, no matter how dark the skies or fearsome the storm.” She also shared the last photograph taken of herself with Rajiv before his demise.
Post the assassination of his mother and then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi took over Congress in 1984 to become the youngest Prime Minister of India at the age of 40. Rajiv Gandhi who was born on August 20, 1944, was assassinated by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) with the help of a suicide bomber during an election that took place in Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu on May 21, 1991.
