President Trump Signs Executive Order To Encourage Hiring American Citizens
Trump bans federal agencies from firing American citizens and hiring foreign workers to do their jobs.
US President Donald Trump signed the executive order banning federal agencies from firing American citizens or green card holders and hiring foreign workers to do their jobs. He met US tech workers on Monday before signing an executive order adding increased scrutiny to the federal government that drafts contracts to hire foreign workers. This order also calls for prioritising the hiring of American citizens over others as the country is struggling to fight the Coronavirus pandemic.
This executive order will be the first of its kind in America. The order clearly calls for prohibiting American employers from hiring foreign workers on H-1B visas which would replace the US citizens based on contracts. Sources claim that President Trump has taken this step seeing the increasing rate of unemployment in the US due to Coronavirus pandemic.
