Posters Put Up In Aligarh To Threaten Muslim BJP Leader

A Muslim woman leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is being threatened to be banished from Islam and killed along with her family for performing aarti of Ram Lalla during the Ram Temple’s bhoomi pujan in Ayodhya and sending rakhi for the Hindu God on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. The lady, Rubi Asif Khan, accompanied by BJP workers, has submitted a written complaint at the Delhi Gate Police Station in Aligarh. The police have initiated a probe into the matter. Posters have also been put up across Aligarh against the Muslim woman.

Following the trial of posters, Khan went to the police and registered a case against those threatening her. A resident of Shah Jamal in Aligarh’s ADA Colony area, Khan is the president of the Mahavir Ganj BJP Mahila Morcha. She had sent a rakhi to Ram Lalla on July 30, 2020 and when the ground-breaking was held on August 5 in Ayodhya, along with some other women, she held a puja at her house in Aligarh. She had also donated a sum of Rs 5,100 via cheque to Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust for the construction of the Ram Temple.
