The second wave of Coronavirus has witnessed a new surge in Covid-19cases all across the nation. Stressing upon which, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared another cautionary message on the occasion of World Health Day. PM Modi urged people to take necessary precautions and follow the Covid-19 norms to fight against the ongoing pandemic. Reportedly, India has reported over 1 lakh Covid cases consecutively in the last few days.

In a series of tweets, PM Modi expressed his gratitude for the medics and requested people to follow the Covid-19 norms. “#WorldHealthDay is a day to reaffirm our gratitude and appreciation to all those who work day and night to keep our planet healthy,” his tweet read. He also emphasized extending our commitment to supporting research and innovation in healthcare.

Another tweet by PM Modi read, “On #WorldHealthDay, let us keep the focus on fighting COVID-19 by taking all possible precautions including wearing a mask, regularly washing hands, and following the other protocols.”

PM Modi also asserted India’s largest vaccination drive to strengthen the fight against Covid-19. Meanwhile, the nation reported a total of 1,26,789 fresh cases today including 685 deaths in the last 24 hours.

And another major report of the day states that BJP leader and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath will be addressing several poll rallies in West Bengal. Amidst, the ongoing elections, CM Yogi will hold several campaigns interacting with the citizens of Bengal.

Meanwhile, the political turmoil in Maharashtra is grabbing everyone’s attention. The investigations surrounding the Ambani bomb scare case have taken a new turn. Recently, the former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh appeared before the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to record his statement in connection with the case.
