PM Modi To Address Farmers Of Six States On 25 December
The PM will educate farmers about the benefits of the three farm laws on 25 December virtually on former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birthday
As the protesting farmers continue to maintain their stance on the revocation of the three farm bills, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will now address the farmers of six states virtually on 25 December to educate them about the benefits of the Centre-imposed reforms.
In yet another attempt to reach out to the agricultural community agitating at the Delhi border for close to a month now, the PM will also release the next batch of monetary aid of 18,000 crore rupees of the Kisan Nidhi scheme. On Friday, that also marks the birth anniversary of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led union administration will release 2,000 rupees each to the accounts around 9 crore farmers.
Apart from this, BJP workers will carry copies of the Agriculture Ministry’s letter to the cultivators to their respective districts in order to spread awareness about the centre’s initiative.
This is not the first time Modi will appeal to the community. Before this, he had made references to the ongoing agitation and urged the protesters to not fall prey to false rumours by opposition parties about the ordinance, during his speeches in Kutch and Benares.
Meanwhile, the farmer union leaders warned the centre to take their revolution seriously and come up with a concrete solution. The campaigners said that they would intensify their movement further if their demand to repeal the union agrarian laws are not met by team Modi.
