PM Modi Pays Last Respects To LJP Leader Ram Vilas Paswan

PM Modi, in his condolence message, remembered how Paswan who was also known as the Dalit icon was a great friend to him.

On Thursday, October 8 Lok Janashakti Party (LJP) leader Ram Vilas Paswan, who was a minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet, lost his life at a Delhi hospital where he was undergoing heart surgery. PM Modi visited Ram Vilas Paswan’s residence in New Delhi to pay his last respects. Many BJP leaders including party president JP Nadda accompanied PM Modi. Paswan was very close to PM Modi, and so in his condolence message, Modi remembered how Paswan who was also known as the Dalit icon was a great friend and whose interventions and contributions during Cabinet Meetings were insightful and beneficial for the party.

Paswan’s death is a big blow to the nation as well as the Dalit community. He always fought for the rights of the Dalits and worked for the upliftment of the community.
