PM Modi Offers Prayers At Hanuman Garhi Temple In Ayodhya Ahead Of Bhoomi Pujan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers at Hanuman Garhi Temple in Ayodhya ahead of bhoomi pujan at the Ram Temple. PM Modi was presented with a headgear, silver mukut and stole by Sri Gaddinsheen Premdas Maharaj, head priest of 10th-century Hanuman Garhi Temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers to Ram Lall and performed ‘sashtang pranam’ at Ram Janmabhoomi site. Accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the PM arrived at the temple dressed in traditional dhoti-kurta. He performed the aarti ahead of the foundation stone-laying ceremony.
The chief priest of the temple gifted PM Modi a headgear and a crown. After spending some time at the Hanuman Garhi Temple, he headed to ‘Shree Ram Janmabhoomi’ where he took part in the pooja and darshan of ‘Bhagwan Shree Ramlala Virajman’. He subsequently performed bhoomi pujan there. On the significance of visiting Hanuman Temple first, Hanuman Garhi Mahant Raju Das said that according to legends, it is believed that no work is complete without the blessings of Lord Hanuman.
