The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Uttar Pradesh President Swatantra Dev Singh claimed in a speech that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has dates set for every event, including when India will go to war with Pakistan and China. In the video, Singh can be heard saying that everything is pre-decided by the PM, whether it was the schedule for the Ram Mandir Bhumi Pujan or the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir.

The UP BJP President made these remarks while addressing his party workers on behalf of MLA Sanjay Yadav in Ballia during a temple ceremony.

As the footage became viral, the politician has now claimed that his statement’s context has not been perceived correctly and that he would like to relook at the same.

The comments come amidst tensions between India and China at the Line of Actual Control (LAC), where both the countries have deployed additional troops of at least 50,000 soldiers on either sides. With more than seven rounds of military and diplomatic talks between the two countries, no consensus had been reached on the disputed areas in Ladakh yet.
