PM Modi Appeals For Caution Until COVID-19 Vaccine Hits Market
In his media address prior to the parliament Monsoon session, the prime minister urged everyone to take care till a vaccine is produced for Coronavirus
As the monsoon session commences in the parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the media today.
Referring to the unusual environment due to the COVID19 pandemic, the PM said that there is the Coronavirus and then there is the government’s responsibility. Stating that he and his ministers have chosen to go ahead with their duties , he assured all safety precautions as per the guidelines will be taken in the meetings.
Modi also urged everyone to not get lax till such time that a successful vaccine is produced to combat the virus. Saying that he is eagerly waiting for the immunisation to be manufactured anywhere in the world, he also made a personal request to the media members present, to take care of themselves and their families.
In his speech, the prime minister also added that many important debates and decisions will take place in the sessions, with significant inputs from all the members of the parliament.
In what seemed like a reference to the ongoing Indo-China tensions, he applauded the passion and the courage of the Indian soldiers in the mountains and thanked them for guarding their motherland and India’s people.
