Plan To Kill Salman Khan Foiled, Bishnoi Gang Member Arrested
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang sharpshooter was held in Uttarakhand for plotting the superstar’s murder
A plan to murder Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been foiled with the arrest of a member of the dreaded Lawrence Bishnoi gang by the Faridabad Police. Rahul, also known as Sanga and Baba, was arrested with four of his accomplices in Uttarakhand on August 15.
According to the police, Rahul is a sharpshooter of the Bishnoi gang, wanted in at least four other murder cases. He had conducted a recce of the Dabangg actor’s home in Bandra, Mumbai, in the first week of January, making a note of his daily schedule. However, due to the lockdown, his plan was delayed at that time.
Lawrence Bishnoi, currently lodged in a Rajasthan jail had coordinated with his gang members to carry out the task, in a bid to avenge the film star’s acquittal in the controversial Black Buck case. The Bishnoi community considers the black buck to be a reincarnation of one of their religious figures.
Back in January 2018, the feared gang leader had openly declared that he would kill Khan. Previously, Bishnoi had hired another shooter Sampak Nehra for assassinating the superstar but the latter got involved in some other case.
Meanwhile, security at Salman’s Panvel farmhouse, where he has been spending time during the lockdown, has been increased.
