There has been a serious escalation of tension along the Line of Control (LOC) in North Kashmir as Pakistan opened unprovoked firing in Keran, Machil and the Naugam dstrict in Kupwara. India is responding in kind as per information.

In a series of ceasefire violations, the Pakistani side targeted the Indian Army and the civilians by using snipers, artillery guns, mortars and area weapons.

This is a specific targeting of key Indian military positions to help infiltrators into India from the other side of the border.

India is already facing massive stress along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh with the Chinese army refusing to disengage from the Indian side. Now, this LOC shelling comes as another challenge that has been thrown suddenly on the nation’s forces.

According to defence sources, India is giving a befitting response to the opponents from the Neelam Valley and the Leepa Valley centres.
