Opposition Party Leaders, Farmers Continue To Protest Against Farm Bills

Amid all the protests, Prime Minister Narendra Modi justifies how the bills will bring agricultural reform in India in near future.

Two farm bills were passed in both the houses of the parliament by voice vote, however, the bills have created a nationwide controversy. Many are in support of the bills but the opposition party leaders are continuously opposing the bills. In many states a huge number of farmers have taken to the streets to protest against the bills. Few days back, Union Cabinet Minister, Harsimrat Kaur Badal resigned from her post as a protest. Moreover, on September 21, eight members of parliament were suspended for their unruly behavior in the monsoon session. 

Amid all these protests, Prime Minister Narendra Modi states that the bills will bring agricultural reforms in India and will immensely benefit the farmers. Modi also highlighted some crucial points that will help the Indian farmers and how the bills will reduce the pressure on them in coming days.
