One of the most popular actors of Tollywood, Telugu Power star Pawan Kalyan never fails to attract the crowd to theatres. Having started his career in 1996, the star has over 25 films to his credit. And as he celebrates his 50th birthday, there is nothing that can diminish the Telugu star’s youthful demeanor.

To celebrate his birthday let us go down memory lane and take a look at the top five movies of the star.

Tholi Prema (First Love)
Having earned the status of a cult film in the Telugu film industry, Tholi Prema brings to screen the youthful Kalyan who easily charmed the audience as a carefree youth falling for Keerthi Reddy. The film was remade in Hindi as Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai and Kannada as Preethsu Thappenilla. The film won a national award and six Nandi Awards.

Thammudu (Younger Brother)
A sports action film, Kalyan was again seen portraying the role of carefree youth and kind of good for nothing guy. Directed by P A Arun Prasad, the film turned out to be a success and was eventually remade in Tamil as Badri and Kannada as Yuvaraja. The story revolves around boxing and Kalyan romancing a rich girl, Lovely played by Aditi Govitrikar.

Badri
Starring opposite Amisha Patel and Renu Desai, Kalyan essays the role of an ad agency director whose parents are settled in the USA. This love drama was the debut of the director of Puri Jagannadh after Kalyan’s successful venture Thammudu. The song Yeh Chikita became a chartbuster.

Kushi
After a resounding success of the film in Tamil, director S J Suryah remade the film in Telugu and what better choice than Pawan Kalyan for the protagonist in this romantic comedy film with Bhumika Chawla portraying the role of his love interest. The film was a major commercial success and grossed over Rs 27 crore at the box office.

Johnny
Though a box office failure, Johnny is worth a mention in Pawan Kalyan’s career since he wrote and directed this martial arts-based story. The story revolves around Johnny, a martial artist, who struggles to save his wife suffering from leukemia. Though the film did not do well at the box office, Pawan Kalyan’s role as Johnny was much praised.
