Omar Abdullah has recently claimed that he has been placed under house arrest again. The news comes after he tweeted saying he has been ‘locked up in his home with no explanation’ with father Farooq Abdullah. As per the reports, the police claims to have taken this action due to the second anniversary of the Pulwama attack. Watch the news video below to find out further details.

Reports claim that with his tweet on ‘democracy’, Omar Abdullah has directly targeted the government. He wrote in his tweet “This is the “naya/new J&K” after Aug 2019. We get locked up in our homes with no explanation(sic)”. Take a look at his full tweet below:

As per the reports, a police van has been instated near their homes and they have been asked not to leave their house premises. Reports suggest that Farooq Abdullah had planned to visit Gulmarg whereas Omar Abdullah had planned to visit Ganderbal. It is reportedly the place from where Omar Abdullah contests for his elections. Reports have also revealed that Mehbooba Mufti has claimed that she is not being allowed to visit Pulwama as well.
