After the famous “Go Corona, Corona Go”  slogan, Union minister Ramdas Athawale has come up with a brand-new slogan for the UK variant of the Coronavirus. The minister on Sunday said that his earlier slogan was successful as the Covid-19 virus is receding from the country. Hence, he has come up with “No Corona, Corona No”, dedicated to the new variant of the infection detected in the UK. Athawale believes that just like his earlier slogan, this will help stop the news strain of virus that is believed to be more contagious and capable of infecting the young as well.

“Earlier I gave the slogan ‘Go Corona, Corona Go’ and now corona is going. For the new Coronavirus strain, I give the slogan of ‘No Corona, Corona No’,” the minister said.

It all started in February, when Athawale along with Chinese Consul General in Mumbai Tang Guocai and some Buddhist monks chanted “Go corona, go corona” at a prayer meeting against the spread of virus. The video went viral on social media and was celebrated. The spread of virus had just begun to surface in India at the time. He also chanted the slogan on March 5, when several Indians following PM Modi’s words, switched off the lights and lit candles and diyas.

Meanwhile, the minister also claimed that his slogan from February had become world famous and thus, everyone expected a new one from him. “I gave the slogan in February, when the Covid-19 situation was not as bad in India. At that time people were saying, will this make corona go away? Now we are seeing this slogan all across the world,” he had said back in April.
