Nine Bricks From Across The Globe Used For Ram Mandir Bhumi Pujan
The bricks used at the Ram Temple ceremony were sent by devotees of Lord Ram in 1989 from all over the world
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the bhumi pujan rituals yesterday in Ayodhya, some of the minutest details of the function were shared, from the venue.
For the foundation stone laying ceremony, the priest revealed that nine bricks from across the globe were kept at the location. These were sent by devotees of Lord Rama from all over the world, in 1989. Elaborating further, he said that out of a total of two lakh seventy-five thousand bricks, 100 bricks, with ‘Jai Shree Ram’ engraved have been used for the occasion.
As per tradition, the prime minister offered prayers at the Hanuman Garhi Temple, before proceeding to the Ram Janmabhoomi site. He was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath.
The much-awaited event took place yesterday amidst tight security. All the invitees could be seen maintaining social distance as per the guidelines issued in the face of the current pandemic.
With the foundation stone-laying rites concluded, the construction of the iconic Ram Temple is scheduled to start soon. It will reportedly be built within a span of three and a half years.
