Nikita Tomar Case: Police Arrest Third Accused Who Arranged For Murder Weapon

The Faridabad police has arrested a third accused in the Nikita Tomar murder case. This comes after the detention of the two prime culprits, Tauseef Ahmed and Rehaan. Ajru had given Tauseef a country-made pistol to shoot Nikita. He was apprehended in Nuh district in Haryana by the authorities after several raids across the state.
During his interrogation, Tauseef, who was in love with Nikita revealed that he killed her because she was planning to marry someone else. The murder that shook the nation took place in broad daylight on October 26, when the accused tried to abduct the 21-year-old college girl outside her campus. When she resisted their efforts, her jilted lover took out the gun and shot at her before fleeing the location in a car with his friend.
The family has alleged a ‘love jihad’ angle in the killing, citing that Ahmed had been pursuing their daughter for the last there years and forcing her to convert to Islam and marry him.
