Nia Sharma Opens Up About The ‘Difficult Phase’ In Her Career; Shares Her Success Story
There was a time when the gorgeous Nia Sharma was completely out of work, without friends and family with nowhere to go…
Nia Sharma is a popular name and a very famous face. She has been a part of the television circuit for a while and been hugely successful too. But recently the actress confessed that things were not always that way, and she has had to compromise a lot in life to achieve a certain amount of success. According to the actress’ recent interview Nia Sharma shared that she was unemployed for many months when her series Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai went off-air. Talking about that phase in life, the Jamai Raja actress said that it was a terrible period for her. The most difficult part was having to deal with everything all alone, since she had no kin in Mumbai to support her.
Nia had a big break in acting with the series Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, while she was much appreciated for her character Manvi Chaudhary, the actress received a rude setback when her show was cancelled in 2013. It was only after a year in 2014, that she was cast in Jamai Raja. The actress exclaimed in one of her interviews, “When I came to this industry, I was all by myself. I was fresh from Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, which was the show that made me. Uske baad poora ek saal ka gap tha.” The year it took Nia to get back into the groove was a nightmare. The actress lamented how then, social media, especially Instagram, even, was not a source of income for celebrities.
To be alone without friends and family, in a place you don’t really call home was an eye opener for the 30year old actress. During this phase, she worked on herself, she even learnt belly dancing. With nothing to lose, she gave her work her very best shot. And came out a winner.
The actress’ last series was the much talked about second season of Jamai 2.0 on Zee 5, Nia Sharma starred opposite Ravi Dubey in it. She also has a music video called Do Ghoot out.
