New BJP Poster Mocking Mamata Spotted Outside Her Nandigram Rented Home
A wall painted by the BJP right in front of the West Bengal CM’s rented home in Nandigram mocks her attack saying that her heart is broken and not her leg
Following West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s alleged attack incident on 10 March, the BJP rubbished her claims of being targeted by unidentified men and called her out for misleading the public. With Mamata forced to shift out from her temporary accommodation in the coveted constituency, a colourful wall right in front of her rented home emerged yesterday. Written in Bengali, the graffiti lettering roughly translates to ‘her leg is not broken, her heart is broken which is why why she has gone back’.
Come 1 April, all eyes will be on Nandigram where the Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo will wage her electoral fight against her former prodigy-turned -BJP loyalist Suvendu Adhikari. Adhikari has vowed to defeat his erstwhile mentor by a margin of over 50,000 votes.
This is the second poster in the last two days seen in the district. On Wednesday, a banner that read that ‘Nandigram-Mednipur wants the son of the soil and not outsiders’ was launched by the BJP. Earlier in February, the federal ruling party had introduced another advert with the faces of nine women BJP leaders of WB against the CM’s face and captioned it as ‘Bengal wants its own daughter, not Pishi (elder sister)’.
