Although it was uncertain if the court would hand them over to judicial custody, a lawyer had reportedly stated that there was a possibility that Harsh’s custody would be demanded. According to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials, this is an ongoing investigation. They want to find out how the drug cartels and the Bollywood or the Hindi television industry are linked to each other. The ongoing investigations are for them to determine the depths and reaches of these links between the two involved parties.
Bharti Singh is a prominent name in the Hindi television industry and has been seen on several television projects over the years. Given her popularity, her arrest during this case is of huge importance. According to the NCB, this is just the beginning. They have been repeatedly saying that their focus lies in Bollywood and the Hindi television industry as well. They believe that the drug cartels have a much deeper connection with Bollywood as well as the television industry. While the investigations have been ongoing for a few weeks now, over 20 drug peddlers have been taken under the custody of NCB and are being questioned every day.
Eventually, it was confirmed that both Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa have been issued judicial custody. The court did not send them to the custody of the NCB. Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa had also applied for bail, and its hearing at the court would take place the next day.
