NCB Drug Bust: Bharti Singh and Husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa Taken For Medical Tests

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had taken Bharti Singh and husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa into custody after finding cannabis from her house and office. In a recent update, the couple has been taken for a medical test.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been on a crackdown of drug use in the Hindi entertainment industry and has summoned a number of stars for questioning related to the matter. On Saturday morning, as a part of investigating the ongoing drug use in the industry, NCB acted on a tip-off and searched comedian Bharti Singh’s house & her house. The bureau got a hold of 86.5 grams of cannabis from both the places. The latest development in this story suggests that the couple will be taken for a medical test soon.  Check out the video below –

NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede had confirmed that Bharti Singh’s husband has also been taken into custody, revealing that the couple was only accused of consuming cannabis. After taking them into custody, NCB produced Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa and two other drug peddlers at the Quilla court. It is revealed that the couple might face judicial custody till December 4. Whereas, the two other peddlers have been sent to police custody. The couple has applied for bail in the drug case, the hearing for the same has been scheduled for November 23, 2020.

While the amount seized from her house can be considered to be a large one, NCB states that it is defined to be under ‘small quiantity’ and not categorised in the ‘commerical quantity’.

NCB had released an official statement which read that Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa accepted the consumption of cannabis and were placed under arrest as per the provisions of the NDPS act 1986. The NCB has taken into custody more than 23 people wich includes Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty, and many more. The bail plea for Rhea’s brother has been rejected. It is yet unclear whether Bharti and her husband will get bail.
