NCB Denies Kshitij Prasad’s Charge Of Being Forced To Implicate Karan Johar
Former Dharmatic employee had alleged NCB had forced him for statement against Johar.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has denied the allegation by former Dharmatic Entertainment employee Kshitij Prasad that he was forced by the agency to say things that will implicate Karan Johar in the Bollywood drugs probe. NCB’s Deputy Director-General Ashok Jain has said “The investigation is being carried out in a professional manner and there is no intended target other than what is revealed during the investigation. The allegations are absolutely untrue.”
Prasad called for questioning on Friday and was arrested on Saturday when top actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor were also quizzed by the agency. His lawyer Satish Maneshinde had told reporters, “The NCB officers apart from Sameer Wankhede were courteous to Kshitij and provided him with a comfortable sleeping arrangement. The next morning when his statement recording resumed, Kshitij was categorically informed by Sameer Wankhede in the presence of several other officers, that since he was associated with Dharma Productions, they would let him off if he implicated Karan Johar and some others, falsely alleging that they consumed drugs.”
