Naseeruddin Shah, Tusshar Kapoor to feature in Maarrich
Tusshar Kapoor on social media announced that he is returning to the silver screen with the self-produced Maarrich, in which he will be seen alongside Naseeruddin Shah.

Tusshar Kapoor is making a comeback on to the big screen alongside Naseeruddin Shah by starring in self-produced Maarrich. The upcoming whodunnit thriller will feature Naseeruddin Shah as a Catholic priest and Tusshar as a police officer, he shared on social media. The film that draws its name from Ramayana will also feature actor Seerat Kapoor.

The Golmaal actor took to social media to inform fans that he will star in the venture. Directed by debutant Dhruv Lather, Maarrich will feature Anita Hassanandani, Rahul Dev along with some new actors. Tusshar informed his fans that the film’s script intrigued him, and he claims that it will challenge him to evolve to the next level as an actor.
Making the big announcement, Tusshar Kapoor tweeted: “Almost 20 yrs down this wonderful journey of making stories come to life, beginning 2021 with #Maarrich..a departure from my usual style, a film that challenges me to evolve as an actor! Tusshar shared his and Naseeruddin Shah’s first looks with the tweet. The film’s catchy title is derived from the name of a character in the Hindu epic Ramayana. Maarrich, in the epic, is an aide of the ruler Raavana who posed as a golden deer for his alliance to kidnap Sita and fly back to Lanka. Tusshar’s last endeavour was a success as he co-produced the horror-comedy Laxmmi starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani.
The actor’s fans are excited to see him take on the role of a tough cop. The actor who amazed his fans with fun roles in movies like Golmaal, Good Boy Bad Boy, and Kya Kool Hai Hum 3, is expected to take a completely new path through the movie which is expected to be a thriller. The film is expected to release in the first half of the year.
