Mumbai Rains: Waterlogging And Traffic Jams In Several Areas Due To Heavy Showers
High tide alert has been issued in Mumbai and sources claim that the situation may worsen if downpour continues.
Mumbai has been experiencing moderate to heavy rains since the past few hours and the city has already started facing problems. Heavy rains have caused waterlogging in several parts of the city which resulted in traffic jams. Several commuters faced problems on the way to their workplaces. According to the sources, all other transport was diverted to several low-lying areas of the city due to heavy waterlogging.
Jogeshwari and Dadar have been severely affected and a high tide alert has been issued amid heavy downpour . Sources claim that the situation in Mumbai may worsen if heavy rain continues for the next few hours. Just like every year, roads in Mumbai have turned into rivers, however, no big losses have been reported so far due to the restrictions imposed in wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
