MP Kalyan Banerjee Calls Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman A “Venomous Black Snake”
TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee, upset with increasing fuel prices and privatisation of Indian railways, called the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman a venomous black snake.
During his rally in the Bankura, West Bengal, the three-time TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee took a dig at Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman by comparing her to a “venomous black snake”. He said that just like people get killed when a venomous snake bites them, similarly, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is stinging people to death and also killing the economy. Further, TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee accused Sitharaman of being the worst Finance Minister in the history of India.
These remarks were made in protest of continuous hike in fuel prices and the decision to privatise Indian railways. The agitated TMC MP asked Nirmala Sitharaman to go back to her native state. After this incident, BJP leader Rahul Sinha said that such remarks on the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman are irrational and they will file an FIR against Kalyan Banerjee.
